The primary role of the Literacy Coach is to coordinate the planning, delivery, assessment, and ongoing improvement of teaching activities for improved student learning. Coordinate the planning, delivery, assessments and ongoing improvementof teaching activities required for Dyslexia Screening implementation. Assist in coordinating and leading PBIS Initiatives inthe District. Assist in coordinating, scheduling, and leading IAT meetings and interventions in the District.
Consult with teachersabout ongoing interventions and assist with progress monitoring of interventions.Qualifications: - Valid Ohio Department of Education Teaching License, Reading Endorsement preferred- Hold or be willing to obtain a Multisensory Structured Literacy Certification- Have passed the KPEERI Exam by the start of the 2025/2026 School Year- Experience in Literacy Content. (Pre-K to 5 Preferred)- An ability to develop strong positive relationships with students, teachers and families.- Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, etc.- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.- Keeps current with advances in technology and workplace innovations that enhance productivity.- Successful Teaching experience.
